I found a cheap DSLR body to play around with after I discovered that I could use my old Olympus OM System lenses with it via an adapter. I’ve got tons of 35mm gear laying around that nobody seems to want, so I figured that this would be a good way to put a few of these bits to work.

I have a Zuiko 55mm f1.2 that I’ve barely used, and not surprisingly, the diaphragm is slow to respond. I need to find out how much it’s going to cost to service this lens and if anyone has any recommendations for a company that does this kind of maintenance and repair.

KEH does lots of repairs, I don’t know if they do olympus OM since it is such an old mount but they’re a good company. The flat rate for non professional lenses is $150 and their one for pro lenses is $235, no idea what the pricing they would pick for that lens.

You can contact Adorama or B&H here in NYC and see what they can do. I used to have a lot of gear - in this case, it might be best to move on, although 1.2 is a fast little lens. I had a Nikon 1.4 50mm that I found worked very well.

Hey, if you have some Olympus 35mm stuff you don’t want, feel free to send it this way. I still use my OM-2S all the time.
